Our Exhibit Story

Our Forget-Me-Not Gallery is pleased to showcase the art of Pawtucket resident and RI Watercolor Society member Alice Broadbent and her art students at the East Providence, Lincoln and Pawtucket Senior Centers.

For more than 17 years, Alice has helped seniors discover watercolor painting as way to express their creative side and to find peace and hope. It was Alice who named our exhibit “Watercolors from the Heart” and who suggested we launch this exhibit during September’s “Senior Center Awareness Month.”

Alice worked more than 30 years in the graphic arts industry, attended classes at the RI School of Design and owned her own business, Studio B Ceramics. She has been teaching painting classes in her native Pawtucket and neighboring communities for nearly 17 years.

You will see Alice’s work, along with 24 of her students presented throughout our exhibit. We are grateful for her support of The Samaritan of Rhode Island.
